Easter Sunday

We had a great time spending Easter together last night. The kids were so cute during the Easter egg hunt. Thanks to everyone who brought treats and all the yummy desserts.

I feel that we are so lucky to be so close to each other. We missed the family members that couldn't be with us last night, be we also know that there will be another party just around the corner, and another chance to hang out together!

COACD interviews Julie and Ali

This is an interview that Julie and Maddie gave while in Paris. It's pretty cool!!

When THE model-of-the-moment Ali Stephens isn't walking the runways, she can be seen trotting around Paris with our favorite travel accessory--her mom! We sat down with the ladies to get the scoop on their experience here.

COACD: Ali, how do you think your instant success has affected you?
Ali: I am much more grown up now! I have learned so much about how to be professional but at the same time to be yourself and not take it too seriously.
COACD: What's it like having your mom with you at Fashion Week?
Ali: She really helps me when I feel sad and homesick. Sometimes I miss Utah very much but she helps me put everything in perspective and focus on how lucky I am to have these opportunities. She is helping me prepare also for when I have to do it on my own--like making sure I will get groceries and do laundry!
COACD: Mrs. Stephens, what are you're tricks to keeping Ali sane during the craziness?
Mrs. Stephens: I try to make sure that she gets the rest she needs. She has a favorite candy called Dragibus that we buy in Paris. Sounds crazy but it puts a smile on her face! We try to communicate through email and special phone calls to her Dad and big sister Maddie and her four big brothers at home.
COACD: What is your morning regime with Ali?
Mrs. Stephens: In our family our children all practice TM or transcendental meditation. She does that first thing when I wake her up for twenty minutes and then she jumps into the shower and has a bowl of her favorite chocolate cereal and a piece of fruit and out the door we run!

Big Party for Grandma and Grandpa

This year is a big one for Grandma and Grandpa. They are having their 60th Anniversary, and Grandma will be celebrating her 80th Birthday. Since this is such a momentous year for them, we are going to have a big shin dig in June!!
Mark, Lorri, Zoe, and Ava are going to be in town. This will be a great opportunity for a family photo with everyone!!
Please mark out June 19-22 on your calendars so we can all celebrate together.

Ezra is here!!! Annie and Brock welcomed their new addition -Ezra Meriwether Frost- early this morning. Ezra weighs 7 lbs 2 oz, 21.5 inches,born at 12:46 am.

Ali has been VERY busy this season. She and Julie are still in Milan. Ali has walked in a lot of major shows, I have posted pics of some of them. I recently heard from Rebecca, who is doing well and staying extremely busy in Miami. She's putting in about 60-70 hours of work each week, trying to make necessary changes to the theatre where she works. I'm sure she's doing a great job, and that she is a great asset to the theatre. The Miama Film Fest starts during the end of February, and she'll probably be even more busy then!! Good Luck Rebecca! We love and miss you...

Last Friday, Lamar signed up with the Charlie Company, 4th LAR Marine Corps Reserve Utah that is based out of Riverton, Utah. He is excited to continue on with his career as a financial advisor, while spending one weekend a month with some fellow marines. Lamar won't have to deploy, as the unit he will be working with is currently deployed and due to return this Spring. After the unit's return, they can't be deployed for three years. Congratulations Lamar!!

We are so excited to welcome home Joey, who has recently returned from a great adventure in California. While gone, Joey made some HUGE accomplishments as a photographer. He has skillfully photographed many bands/musicians performing live (Smashing Pumpkins, Linkin Park, Velvet Revolver, Kid Rock, Cypress Hill, Hot Hot Heat, and the Foo Fighters just to name a few!)

Ali and Julie are in Paris where Ali has been walking in some Spring 2008 Couture Fashion Shows. She did Chanel and will do Givenchy before she and Julie get to come home at the end of this week for a short break.

Celebrate! - Surprise Party for Marc Stephens

This past Friday night we got together for a surprise party in honor of Marc on his birthday. (well, actually the day before his birthday) Maddie was the master mind, and Elaine helped.

Ali is happy to be with two of her best model friends Taryn and Karlie(pictured above). Abby has a new job teaching dance classes for Moms and Tots in Kaysville. She's perfect for that!

Brock passed his EEG test. Word is that only 2 out of 7 passed the test, and Brock was one of the two. Congratulations Brock!!

Nathanael has started truckers school - watch out for lot lizards! Two more weeks and then he'll hit the open road.

For those who may not have heard, Maddie Jayne has signed with Elite. She is scheduled to leave for NYC sometime in February, where she will live in the model apartment (An apartment that houses female models) for about a month.. Break a leg, Maddie! We're so proud and happy for you.

Madison is also in the process of applying to college. We're excited to see what the future holds for our talented Maddie.

Alison and Julie arrived a couple days ago in Paris where Ali is shooting the Chloe look book. The President of Chloe visited her photo shoot today(Ali shot 23 different outfits!), and the word is that he was really impressed with her! Knock 'em dead Al!
